There are a growing range of non-surgical options aimed at targeting photoaging changes.
Appropriate treatment options are guided by a person’s skin type, the severity or mix of ageing changes and any concurrent skin problems or issues (e.g. rosacea or acne and acne scarring).
Treatment options including rejuvenation may include: Intense Pulsed Light, Q-switched laser, and pico laser. These may be utilized in a series of 2-3 treatments to balance desired treatment effects along with treatment associated risk, recovery or downtime.
In those with more marked photoaging, one of our CO2 lasers or our ALMA Hybrid Laser Resurfacing devices may be considered. Strong treatments with these devices however are associated with significant downtime and longer recovery times.
A series of less aggressive treatments can also be considered. Multiple less aggressive treatment sessions in this situation can be explored with the aim of reducing the severity and duration of recovery and downtime.
A liquid face and neck lift could also be considered or a combination of both laser and dermal fillers.
Skin tightening and contouring treatments are also utilized for face and neck rejuvenation or prejuvenation. These include Ultraformer MPT that utilizes ultrasound energy to target deeper skin and the supporting fascia layers or radiofrequency energy such as that delivered by the Candela Matrix.
