Dr. Wheeler then completed a one-year fellowship with a focus on paediatric dermatology at Changi General Hospital in Singapore, followed by a three-year fellowship in blistering disease, dermatopharmacology and clinical research at St. George Hospital in Sydney where she was involved in teaching medical students as a conjoint associate lecturer of the University of New South Wales. She went on to do a two-year stint at St. Vincent’s Hospital and the Skin and Cancer Foundation Australia in Darlinghurst to fulfil requirements for Australian dermatology specialist recognition.
Dr. Wheeler is a member of several international dermatology societies, has presented in a number of international conferences, and has authored several book chapters and journal articles in molecular biology, blistering diseases, and drug reactions in children. Her interests include blistering diseases, paediatric and women’s dermatology, psoriasis and skin cancers.
